What are the chances?

What is the probability of catching a certain color fish?

Suppose you toss a quarter once. What is the probability of the quarter landing heads up? There are two possible outcomes in this situation, heads or tails. We can classify triangles by sides or angles.

Begin by finding the area of a triangle.

Side lengths

Equilateral all sides are the same length.

Isosceles. two sides are the same length.

Scalene: no sides are the same length.

Angles

Acute triangle: has all angles less than 90 deg.

Right triangle: has one 90 deg angle.

Obtuse triangle: has an angle greater than 90 deg.
